I told Jenn that I'd give her a little "Sneak Peek" at a couple of her indoor photos from the indoor part of her ROCK STAR Session. I don't want to spoil it for her at her BIG REVEAL, so almost all the photos will be secret until we finish her outdoor photos and have them come into the office.

It was a great time working with Kristen today on her senior portraits. We also did her sister Lauren's photos back in 2008.

We were glad that Lauren was able to be there for part of the session.

It was great to see Jenn today to do her 1 1/2 hour indoor part of her ROCK STAR Session.

We had two guests of honor: Grandma and Sadie. Sadie her Jenn's dog, and is she a cutie!!!

Some great pictures and with some wild animals!!! You'll all have to wait until later to get the scoop on the wild animals, that is, unless you know Jenn, you'll probably know what this is all about!!

SPIRIT SESSIONS

This year we stated including Spirit Session for our Spirit Coordinators or Reps. We thought it was a great name for our senior reps.

We are giving each of our Spirit Coordinators this year a free Spirit Session.

What is a Spirit Session? You get a group of you best friends together and we take a bunch of fun pictures. We upload some of them to facebook and you take yourself.

No purchase is necessary, but for anyone that wants to keep a copy, we will provide gift prints are really great prices.

We do plan on including this as a session offering next year for the class of 2013 so anyone can have their own Spirit Session.

Construction of new backgrounds to start this week

We are excited that the materials for at least 3 new backgrounds arrives today. Construction should be starting very soon.

These backgrounds will be good with all sorts of photography, but we are sure that the seniors will really like them.

Online Appointment Scheduling

We are excited to let everyone know that we are adding online scheduling to both our Capture & Creativity and Grove City Senior Portraits sites.

While we are still working on a new updated Capture & Creativity page, the Grove City Senior Portraits website is already up-to-date with a link. Until our new Capture & Creativity website is up and live, you can go to http://capturencreativity.lattiss.com to schedule any type of appointment.

Since we work by appointment only, we did have some issues getting the website to permit appointments to be scheduled. We had to post hours to get the calendar to work, so thanks for everyone's understanding in knowing that to give each client the best possible experience, we don't accept walk-in appointments and these hours are not representative of hours actually open.

We hope that this will make scheduling much easier.

This was a wonderful session with Sarah. I photographed Sarah's older sister when I first started our business and it was in our home. I have known her family for a very long time. I great up on the same street as her dad and aunt as well as worked with her mom and dad at two previous companies.

Sarah bears a stricking resemblence to her aunt Amy. I don't know how many times I'd look at her and call her Amy. She was definitely a good sport about that!!!

I met Kindra quite by accident. She works for the Hemophilia Foundation here in Columbus. I had offered my photography services for their charity concert with Rick Springfied (of course, my favorite 80's performer).

I photographed that event, but also gained a new customer and a new friend.

Kindra and Doug was married at her mom's home on a beautiful lake. Despite the fact it was August and really HOT, it was such a great time.

They had a great theme of wear your favorite concert T-Shirt, which folks changed into for the reception. How FUN!!

Melissa, Jimmy & Drake came in last night along with their two new puppies.

The puppies were not used to the studio lights and wasn't sure what to make of the entire process, but I think they did a pretty good job, as did Drake, who will soon be 5. It's pretty good to get children at that age to cooperate, and Drake was fantastic. Of course, I've been taking his picture since he was a month old, so I knew he'd do a great job.

Longtime customer, Melissa Albright, is seeking the Ward 3 seat currently being held by Mr. Larry Corbin.

Melissa has been a customer of ours for 5 years and she said she couldn't think of anyone else that she would rather have take this very important photo. Family photos are in the plans as soon as she can figure out how to keep the 2 puppies calm for the photos.

A Wet Day at The Memorial.... The Skins Game

With Tiger Woods and Jack Nicholas playing, what a better opportunity to get some great photos on the last day before the tournament starts and the last day you can take a camera!!!

My husband wanted a photo of Tiger and Jack together, maybe even shaking hands, but that probably didn't happen until after I left 17 and the completed 18. By the time I left 17 you would not have been able to get anywhere close to 18.

I did manage to get a couple nice shots even though the weather was horrible.

This shot of Jack is on 11 where he made hit putt. The ball is just going into the cup when I took this photo.

The photo (and the 1st photo above) are Tiger on 17 green.

Congratulations to Lauren (largest photo on right) of Grove City, who is in the Grove City High School Class of 2009 and a member of the Grove City Marching Band, along with Jamie (bottom photo) of Centerville, who is in the Centerville High School Class of 2009 and is a member of the Centerville Jazz Band.

The top photo is Jeremy Adkins, who has joined our Street Team. Jeremy will be a Senior at Grove City High School, Class of 2010, and is passing out information and discount cards for our studio.

The second photo is Bethany Ward, who has also joined our Street Team. Bethany will be a Senior at Central Crossing High School, Class of 2010, and is passing out information and discount cards for our studio.

Wonderful Maternity photos

Gina and Cole came into the studio on Sunday to capture Gina's final weeks of pregnancy. Lauren will be here very soon and Cole will be a big brother.

I have taken Cole's photos in the past and I found out on Sunday that Cole really loves to take photos. I let him hold my camera to take a picture of Mom (see here right) which just thrilled him so much that on the last set of photos, Cole picked up my camera turned it to take a portrait photo and actually took a pretty good photo. This is pretty amazing because he's 4 and my professional camera is pretty heavy.

What a wonderful day and wonderful family.

I am looking forward to meeting baby Lauren and taking her first photos.

Sometimes plans don't work out the way that you want them to. Jason was to come into the studio with his brothers Kris and Kyle to have their photo taken for their mom for Christmas.

His mom, brother Kyle, and Kyle's dad now live in Florida. Kyle was spending two weeks here in Ohio, so we knew what kind of time we had. The night we were to do the photos, Kris was sick, but Jason wanted to bring his girlfriend Tiffany in for some photos.

We were able to get some great photos that night, but were never able to get all three boys together for a photo for mom, who is not really happy with her boys right now.

I told them, we all have to meet in Florida for a vacation and go back to the beach where I took photos back in November!

As a service to the school parents, I give them to opportunity to come back and "redo" photos from their sessions.

With the amount of students required to be photographed, sometimes it's just not the right day for a good photograph.

Chas is a wonderful little guy and I've enjoyed taking his school photos.

I look forward to a family photo session that we are going to do in the spring once it turns green and warm again!

Mom brought the boys in just before the Christmas holiday for some updated photos.

The boys were absolutely wonderful to work with. We got some wonderful photos and even some funny shots of them just being themselves.

Thanks to the Hofius family for the great time at the beach. We were able to just dodge the rain from afternoon to evening with these photos. Brutus was so funny. While doing the photos of Jeff, Karol, & Kyle, Brutus would run at a full sprint behind them and I could see him coming into the photo just as I was about to take it.

Adam's Senior Photos

It was such a pleasure to work with Adam on his senior photos.

Guys are usually more difficult to photograph since most of them don't like to get their photo taken.

Adam even had some of his own input into what poses we photographed and it's wonderful for a photographer when a client gives them some direction on what they want the outcome of their photos to look like.

This was really fun. I wanted to come up with some type of scene that would be fitting.

I was fortunate to find the sleigh and I updated it for the photos. The toughest part was coming up with a way to make it look like the kids were on snow.

I almost didn't get to take these photos. Even though Rick has performed at this casino in the past and I taken all of my cameras and lenses, the security this time was having an issue with larger camera lenses.

Since I was close enough, I just used others and still got some great images.

Happy 1st Birthday Caedance!!!

This is the 2nd opportunity to take photos of Caedance. I took photos of her last fall along with her mom, dad, brother, grandma, grandpa, and aunt.

This is a real joy for me because I did her dad Cody's senior photos and they have provided me with the opportunity to continue to create photographic memories of the family.

Caedance is much older now than the first photos last fall. She will be celebrating her 1st birthday on July 23rd.

I suggested to mom that we do the above birthday cake photos in the studio to eliminate the need for the mess at home when the have her birthday party.

Let's just say that Caedance really LOVES cake.

I just happened to have some hats in the studio and gave one to Caedance. This photo is such a cute shot of her wearing the hat. It's not very easy to get a 1 year old to put on a hat. Caedance would have rather had it on her foot!!!!

I really thank the family for giving me this opportunity to photograph Caedance and Cameron. They are both great kids!!!
